Since Apple changed the way Safari handles extensions, as I understand it, I have to now run LastPass as a separate app that can be accessed via a menu bar widget in Safari. Our team is looking to release a Safari extension update for iOS 15, although currently we do not have an ETA or any additional news to share just yet. unfortunately just won't fly, no matter how well-intentioned. I'm using LastPass Version 4.39.0 (1002) and Safari Version 13.0.4 (15608.4.9.1.3) with MacOS Catalina 10.15.2. The functional challenges, should they persist, will simply cost me too much unnecessary effort to remain a user, despite my love and long relationship with LP.Īnd I'll just finish up with saying that the old, "It's coming, but we're not sure when" angle, while 6 months later nothing has changed.
So please, this needs to be rectified as soon as possible. I truly don't know how something like this could happen. The extension icon, when clicked, is extremely slow to populate, which means you stare at an empty white box for up to 10 seconds every time you click on it. That communicates that LP isn't taking mobile seriously. The LastPass extension for Safari has been an absolute mess since I upgraded to Big Sur. It seems like no one was paying attention. It's not like the fact that extensions were coming to mobile Safari was a surprise. What's been said about 1Password having their extension out on day one is incredibly significant. A more accurate way of saying it is, it doesn't seem like they're even on the playing field. Save time and know that your private information is securely stored.

AutoFill by LastPass is designed to autocomplete forms fields with your logins and passwords, credit card information, address, and more on Apple Safari. Dashlane Windows, OS X, Android iOS Chrome, Firefox, Safari Internet Explorer. This really doesn't reflect well on Lastpass at all.
I've hung on through some fairly dicey times. However I now work in an entirely Apple environment and the increase LastPass fee just is not worth it when Safari Keychain now works fairly well. Enjoy these apps on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
